“Y.E.S.” East to West Yoga Exercise Specialist Part 1 Certificate and Part 2 Certification:

This is where to begin your Yoga Teacher Training:

Yoga Exercise Specialist(Entry-Level) Part 1 Certificate Course:  

  • Next One: Thursday, November 21, 2019

 One full day – 9 am – 6 pm)

Yoga Exercise Specialist Part 2 Certification (Includes written Exam and Practical Assessment):  

  • October 26-27, 2019 (Saturday – Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm)
  • January 18-19, 2020 (Saturday – Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm)

“P.M.I.” East to West Pilates Mat Instructor Part 1 Certificate and Part 2 Certification:

Pilates Mat Instructor Part 1 Certificate Course:

  •  Thursdays July 4 and July 11, 2019 (9 am – 4 pm)
  • Thursday Friday August 22-23, 2019

Pilates Mat Instructor Part 2 Certification Course (Includes written Exam)

  • PMI II at Heartsong: Thursdays  October 3, October 10, 2019 (9 am – 4 pm)

Yoga Teacher Training: Advanced Teacher Training (RYT200 Hour) Programs here at Heartsong!

*A minimum of 4 students is required for these programs  to proceed

The East to West Yoga 350-hour Certification Programs are registered with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level. Elizabeth Hagan is the East to West Yoga School Ottawa Region Teacher Trainer. The Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program – EWYT350-RYT200 consists of eight, twenty hour-long courses held once a month for eight months. Prerequisites to taking these advanced courses is East to West Y.E.S. Certification. (Students who are keen and wish to register for these Advanced Programs, but have perhaps ‘missed’ taking YES I & II, can start the RYT200 Program, and then take the YES I & II within the 8-month period before Weekend #8 Graduation. Elizabeth tries her best to accommodate all enthusiastic instructors)

The dates for the next session of 2019 – 2020  RYT200 Courses are as follows (*These dates are ‘firm’):

Times: Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm, and Sundays from 9 am – 5 pm

#1 September 7-8, 2019: Advanced Anatomy & Alignment for Yoga Instructors

#2 October 5-6, 2019: Teaching Methodology Part I (Saturday); Using Props in Yoga (Sunday Morning); and Basic Sanskrit for Yoga Teachers (Sunday Afternoon)

#3 November  2-3, 2019: Teaching Methodology II (Saturday); Partner Yoga (Sunday Morning); Use of Voice & Language (Sunday Afternoon)

#4 November 30-December 1, 2019: Vinyasa Sequencing I

# 5  January 11-12, 2020: Pranayama – The Path to Unlimited Energy (Saturday); Teaching Practicum (Sunday Morning); and Ayurveda & Nutrition (Sunday Afternoon)

# 6  February 8-9, 2020: Raja Yoga (Saturday); Advancing Yoga Postures (Sunday Morning); and Mantra in Yoga (Sunday Afternoon)

Nothing in March

#7 April 25-26, 2020:  Classical Hatha Sequencing I

#8  May 23-24, 2020:  Chakra Yoga – Energy Healing for Total Health (Saturday); The Importance of Sadhana & The Business of Yoga (Sunday Morning); Potluck Luncheon and Graduation Ceremony (Afternoon)

*A minimum of 4 students (max 15) is required for this 8 (10 including YES I & II) month long advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program to proceed at Heartsong Studio.
